As soon as I heard the first track, I knew it was appropriately titled “The Takeover.”This track makes me envision the people of Wichita on one accord making the decree that the Dub-K is like the thief in the night; the savior that is going to save and take industry by storm before they even knew what hit ‘em. There are so many different flavors and sounds on the album that causes your mind to be in and out of musical bliss. With a cool mixture of smooth R&B and hip-hop, My Melody reminds me of a lovely encounter between Common and Floetry's Marsha Ambrosius. “Runnin” is the transition from a boy to man based upon the insight that his life choices have negatively impacted his family. Hip-Hop is not just about violently taking someone’s life and getting money, there are also positive messages that are birthed from it. Hip-Hop provides the motivation for you to get up and do something positive for once. It’s been a long time coming since I’ve heard an artist provide us with quality when it comes to their craft. It's as if Four Tre has studied, practiced and perfected it as though it was made just for you. Whatever your pleasure or position on Hip-Hop, it’s all found on this album. The Midwest Movement is here. When are you going to get on board?
